
Lean Certification Boot Camp
The Lean Certification Series is designed to provide participants with a solid foundation in basic lean principles, including hands-on experience in the application of those principles.
- The program includes six days of classroom instruction as well as a certification exam
- The classroom training will be delivered at the rate of one class every other week
- Lean Certification is designed to prepare the participants to successfully apply lean principles, and to play an active role in their organization’s improvement efforts
- Certification is achieved by attending all classroom instruction and satisfactory completion of a written exam.
Classroom training includes instruction in the following lean tools:
- Value Stream Mapping and A3 Thinking (August 21, 2025)
This training guides teams through mapping their processes, spotting inefficiencies, and designing practical action plans to cut waste and streamline production flow.
- Intro to Principles of Lean Manufacturing (September 4, 2025)
This training gives participants a hands-on introduction to proven methods for eliminating waste, improving flow, and boosting efficiency in manufacturing operations.
- Practical Problem Solving – The 5 Why’s (September 18, 2025)
Learn how to break down real problems, find true root causes, and lock in lasting fixes that cut costs, boost quality, and keep improvements sticking.
- Lean Tool Implementation (October 2, 2025)
Participants gain practical know-how to apply core lean tools, cut waste in product development, and drive faster, more profitable operations.
- Standard Work and Visual Management (October 16, 2025)
Combining clear visual controls with consistent standard work, this training helps teams boost quality, cut waste, and keep workflows smooth, safe, and easy to manage every day.
- Continuous Improvement Practice/Sustaining Improvement Efforts (October 30, 2025)
Empowers teams to drive daily, on-the-floor improvements through rapid problem-solving cycles that align process tweaks with big-picture business goals.
- Lean Certification Exam (November 13, 2025)
