Southwestern Pennsylvania’s manufacturers know that a strong workforce is the foundation of growth. But with hiring challenges, skills gaps, and an aging workforce, finding and retaining the right talent can feel like an uphill climb. That’s where the Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Apprenticeship Program comes in.
Catalyst Connection is proud to serve as the regional sponsor of this 18-month, nationally recognized program, designed to help employers strengthen their teams and prepare workers for the future of manufacturing.
The IMT Apprenticeship combines structured on-the-job training with classroom instruction, producing graduates who are ready to take on roles in production, quality, and advanced technical positions. Unlike traditional training programs, IMT provides a pathway for both new hires and incumbent workers to build skills while contributing to your operations.
Thanks to federal and regional grants, manufacturers can receive up to $6,000 per apprentice to offset training costs. This financial support helps companies invest in workforce development without straining resources—making it easier to build the talent pipeline you need.
