Our Workforce Program Specialist coordinates these initiatives to provide individuals with valuable skills and pathways to rewarding careers while strengthening the overall fabric of our regional economy.

Workforce Program Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct company and apprenticeship meetings.
  • Coordinate details and logistics with companies, schools, and stakeholders.
  • Advise companies on apprenticeship recruitment and selection criteria.
  • Maintain data in the Commonwealth’s apprenticeship system.
  • Coordinate training schedules with companies and consultants.
  • Support outreach to attract employers and schools.
  • Customize On the Job Training (OJT) Job Books with companies.
  • Manage curriculum and 3rd party purchases accurately.
  • Handle client-paid apprenticeship income.
  • Visit clients to assess needs and view processes.

Requirements:

  • College degree in Business Administration, Education or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of workforce programming experience
  • Valid driver’s license and access to adequate transportation.
