What You’ll Do

This position combines relationship building, program coordination, community outreach, and workforce development.

Workforce & School Engagement

• Build relationships with schools, educators, manufacturers, students, parents, and community organizations.
• Recruit participants for workforce initiatives and career awareness programs.
• Coordinate school and manufacturer participation in workforce development events.
• Present manufacturing career opportunities to students, educators, and community groups.
• Serve as a trusted resource connecting education with industry.

Program Coordination

• Coordinate workforce development initiatives and special projects.
• Manage programs such as Manufacturing Day, the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? Video Contest, Manufacturing Innovation Challenge, pre-apprenticeship initiatives, and similar workforce programs.
• Monitor program timelines, participation, and deliverables.
• Support grant-funded initiatives through data collection and reporting.

Community Outreach & Continuous Improvement

• Develop outreach strategies to increase participation and awareness.
• Collect and analyze survey data and program feedback.
• Research workforce trends and identify opportunities to strengthen regional talent pipelines.
• Support continuous improvement of workforce initiatives and partnerships.

What You Bring

• Associate’s degree in education, communications, business, human resources, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• One to three years of experience coordinating programs, workforce initiatives, nonprofit programs, education, career coaching, STEM initiatives, or similar work.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Experience presenting to diverse audiences.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, online survey tools, and other technology platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal History (PATCH), and FBI clearances (or ability to obtain).

Work Environment

This role regularly works in schools, manufacturing facilities, community organizations, and office settings throughout our 12-county Southwestern Pennsylvania region.

Candidates should enjoy being out in the community, building relationships, presenting to groups, and collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the region are required.
