Hand and Power Tools Basics

*Special Offer*

Manufacturers can attend this training at no-cost thanks to SkillMill19TM @ Manufacturing Innovation Center.

Hand & Power Tools Basics provides a foundational understanding of tools used for repair, maintenance, and light fabrication environments. Hands-on activities cover tool safety and PPE, proper tool selection, and correct use techniques through practical examples.

Participants should be prepared for active, physical involvement throughout the course. Activities may include standing for extended periods, kneeling, working on the floor, pushing, pulling, and lifting materials or equipment weighing 20+ lbs. The course also involves sustained hand use and requires functional hand dexterity and grip strength to safely operate manual and power tools. Appropriate attire, including closed-toe shoes and comfortable work clothing (short sleeves are strongly recommended), is required.
