Fundamentals of Robotics
*Special Offer*
Manufacturers can attend this training at no-cost thanks to SkillMill19 @ Manufacturing Innovation Center.
Gain the skills industry demands to program, operate, and maintain industrial robots—skills that open doors to high-demand careers in advanced manufacturing and automation. The Fundamentals of Robotics certification provides a hands-on introduction to robotic systems. Students learn industry-standard programming, operation, and troubleshooting techniques while working with real robotic hardware.
- Robot Design & Function — Understand components, drives, controllers, and safety systems
- Programming — Write and edit robotic programs using teaching and on-line modes
- Motion Control — PTP, XYZ, and Tool coordinate modes; smooth and interpolated motion
- Automation Logic — Conditional programming, I/O integration, subroutines are introduced
- Sensors & Peripherals — Incorporate inputs and outputs to expand robot capabilities
- Workplace Safety — Apply industry-standard procedures for safe robot operation
NC³ / Festo Certified Training
Attendees will:
- Calibrate a robotic arm
- Use a Teaching Box to control and program robot movements
- Design automated tasks such as palletizing and simulated spray painting
- Program a mock automation process from start to finish
- Test skills through end-of-module online exams and a practical skills assessment
Target Audience: Incumbent workers and/or job seekers who are interested in learning introductory information about robotics.
This is an INTRO CLASS targeted at entry level individuals and/or those who have no experience with robotics.
