This comprehensive 4-hour introduction to additive manufacturing (AM) is designed to provide participants with foundational knowledge and awareness of the rapidly evolving world of additive manufacturing. John has been involved in metal additive manufacturing since the late 1990s and is internationally recognized for his contributions to the field.

· Dr. Tim Simpson has more than 20 years of experience implementing and teaching additive manufacturing. As co-director of Penn State’s Center for Innovative Materials Processing through Direct Digital Deposition (CIMP-3D), Tim specializes in design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) and has helped train and educate more than 600 industry practitioners across aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, defense, energy, medical, oil and gas, and space industries.
