Achieving effective corrective action requires a thorough investigation of potential causes, followed by careful analysis to identify the root cause(s). This session will cover some of the most practical tools for generating possible causes, including brainstorming, 5-Why, Is/Is Not analysis, and 8D. Participants will see real-world application examples of these tools and learn techniques for selecting corrective actions, even when facing constraints. The session will also explore characteristics of systems that promote continual improvement, as opposed to those that drain resources without delivering meaningful results.
Participants will gain practical knowledge of several common root cause and corrective action (RC/CA) tools that can be applied to drive lasting improvements in their organizations. The session will help attendees distinguish between effective solutions and superficial fixes, ensuring meaningful progress.
Participants will receive presentation handouts and a Certificate of Attendance upon completion.
