What You’ll Do

This role blends classroom instruction, hands-on training, and program coordination.

Apprenticeship Instruction (Core Focus)

  • Deliver MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) training
  • Prepare apprentices for certification exams
  • Track attendance, performance, and progress
  • Provide individualized coaching and support
  • Coordinate testing logistics and documentation
  • Communicate progress with internal team and employer partners

Learning Lab Support

  • Serve as backup or support instructor for technical trainings
  • Assist with instruction in:
  • PLCs, automation, robotics
  • CNC and industrial maintenance
  • Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Support lab setup, equipment readiness, and safety
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and effective learning environment

Program & Administrative Support

  • Maintain training records and required documentation
  • Support grant reporting and program tracking
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of curriculum and delivery

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of manufacturing, technical, or workforce training experience
  • Experience teaching, training, or coaching adult learners
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort with digital tools and learning platforms
  • MSSC CPT certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Exposure to manufacturing technologies (PLC, CNC, robotics, etc.)
  • Industry credentials (OSHA, MSSC, NIMS, NC3) are a plus
  • Completion of child protection clearances

Work Environment

This role operates across classroom, lab, office, and manufacturing settings and includes regular travel throughout our 12-county Southwestern Pennsylvania region.

You will spend time at employer sites, in the Learning Lab, and in classroom environments, working directly with adult learners and manufacturing teams. This role is hands-on, people-facing, and requires comfort moving between different settings and adapting to varying schedules and locations.

Candidates should be comfortable with consistent regional travel and working both independently and as part of a broader team supporting workforce and industry initiatives.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $68,000.00 per year
