Emerging Leaders in Manufacturing Program (ELM)

Year 1 Kick-Off will begin Wednesday and Thursday
February 21 & 22, 2024 – 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Investing in your future stars

Every company has high potential employees, but many smaller organizations do not have strong systems in place to support their growth. Catalyst Connection’s Emerging Leaders in Manufacturing (ELM) program is a proven platform for helping your top performers achieve personal and professional growth by focusing on mission-critical topics and applied learning.

Mentorship as a driver

Identifying your stars and high potential contributors is the easy part. Helping them to grow is more challenging. Having worked with nearly 100 emerging leaders in recent years, we recognize the role of the Mentor as a key element of achieving outstanding results in the ELM program. The link below explains this critical component.

Helping your stars to shine

The twenty-one month ELM Program begins with an immersive two-day workshop, February 21 & 22, 2024, identifying targeted areas for individual growth and covering the critical topics of strategy, leadership, talent and culture. Participants then meet in seven sessions throughout the year.

Each ELM meeting is based on expert knowledge, applying the learning to the unique situation of each individual (and company) and real-time coaching. Meetings focus on a single topic that includes thought leadership material, sharing relevant experiences and practical exercises. Circumstances permitting, some will be hosted by participating companies and include plant tours and a presentation of Best Practices, adding to the ELM perspective.

The ELM program places a heavy emphasis on deep learning, increased self-awareness and the application of new skills and insights.

In the summer of Year 1 of the program, participants will, together with their ELM Mentor, define a Personal Leadership Development Plan (PLDP) to help them focus on specific soft skills, behaviors and practices that will enhance and quicken their leadership development path.

During the summer of Year 2, participants will, again with the active involvement of their program mentor, design a performance improvement program intended to a) further enhance their leadership development and b) have lasting company-wide positive impact. This is known as the ELM legacy project. Participants receive coaching in order to better ensure success.

Fees

The ELM program is a two year commitment, with an annual fee of $4,450, which covers the group meetings, multiple leadership assessment tools, dozens of curriculum-based exercises, active and on-going coaching and summer project support. Participants are also guaranteed a discounted seat at any Catalyst Connection public training.

Everyone who completes the program requirements will earn a Catalyst Connection certificate recognizing them as an Emerging Leader in Manufacturing.

Register by Friday, February 16, 2024.
