Senior Business Advisor

What makes this career opportunity unique?  Our Business Advisors are responsible for managing client engagements with an emphasis on the client’s new business development and customer retention. With a focus on manufacturing, the Business Advisor frequently tours production facilities, meets with senior leaders to discover business needs and opportunities, and then collaborates with Catalyst’s consultancy staff to develop project proposals and deliver high value services to small and emerging manufacturing businesses.  They maintain contact and provide support during all phases of client engagements.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Sell value added services to meet the unique business needs of small and medium-sized manufacturers.
  • Listen, consult and provide expert advice to senior leaders.
  • Assess needs, develop sales presentations, and strategic proposals to plan a path to growth for our clients.
  • Review market analysis, identify prospects, understand industry trends that are impacting the region.
  • Coordinate service delivery activities of industry-leading senior consultants, economic development partners, and external resources to help regional manufacturers succeed.
  • Monitor activity, develop goals, and track progress against goals.
  • In SWPA, we are specifically targeting outreach along the I-79 corridor in the following counties including: Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Washington
  • Foster long-term relationships with regional manufacturers.

Your background must demonstrate a successful track record of closing sales opportunities, experience in building long-term relationships with communicating effectively.

The successful candidate will possess a BS with 5+ years of related experience in consultative selling.  You should be self-motivated, have a dynamic presence, and exceptional written and verbal communications skills.  The ability to work independently and in a team environment is essential.
