Employee Benefits
Because we value our employees and their families, Catalyst Connection is committed to providing competitive, high-quality benefits designed to promote health, well-being and income protection. Our benefit plans are reviewed regularly to ensure that they reflect the diverse and changing needs of our employees and to be consistent with market standards.
Employees are eligible for core benefits coverage beginning on the first day of the month following their date of hire. Additionally, all non-temporary employees working more than 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits.
These core benefits include:
- Medical Insurance
- Dental Insurance
- Vision Insurance
- Life and AD&D Insurance
- Long-Term Disability Insurance
- Paid Time Off
- Employees are eligible for at least 10 and up to 25 days of paid vacation time depending upon length of service.
401(k) Savings Plan
Following three full months of service, employees are eligible to participate in the Defined Contribution Retirement [401(k)] Plan. Our 401(k) Plan offers a generous company match. Up to six percent of an employee’s salary can be matched by the organization.
Professional Development and Training
Employees are encouraged to pursue professional development and/or training through conferences, seminars and various educational events in order to enhance their skills and abilities and make them even greater assets to the organization.
Tuition Reimbursement
Full-time staff members can be reimbursed for completing job-related college course work (undergraduate and/or graduate level) subject to various conditions.
Flexible Work Schedules
During the summer months when the sun shines past 6:00 p.m., employees have the option to rearrange their work hours to make the most of the daylight and the summer weather.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
We realize and respect the need for personal time and a personal life. Our employee benefits program entitles staff access to the services of the Work-Life Balance program, offering information on topics and issues including parenting and childcare, health, education, legal issues, emotional well-being, addiction and recovery.
Performance Planning and Incentive Compensation
In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for an annual incentive compensation bonus, based on both individual and organizational performance. The payment of incentive compensation will be evaluated each year.
Preferred Location and Parking
Catalyst Connection offices are a part of the Pittsburgh Technology Center on the site of the former J&L Steel Works. Just minutes away from downtown Pittsburgh, the South Side and Oakland, our building is among the collection of cutting edge companies who call the Technology Center home. Our offices are modern and clean with great views of the Mon River and the downtown skyline – and more importantly we offer free parking!
Dress Code
In our dynamic environment, it’s never business as usual, but it is business casual. Our dress code maintains a business casual standard Mondays through Thursdays and goes to relaxed casual dress on Fridays with the goal of making all employees as comfortable as possible in the workplace, while maintaining a high professional standard.
Safe, Healthy and Secure
As an organization, we are conscientious of the safety and security of our staff. Our well-lit parking lot offers ample parking close to the building and a security guard on the premises in the afternoon and evening hours.
Catalyst Connection’s Wellness Committee is a team-driven initiative that works in conjunction with our health benefits provider to give staff access to health screenings and a variety of other programs that promote healthy living and wellness for our employees.
Going the Extra Mile
Catalyst Connection employees are rewarded for hard work and extra effort. Every supervisor is empowered to present “On the Spot Awards” as tokens of appreciation and recognition when an employee demonstrates the qualities and characteristics that make our team shine. An “On the Spot Award” can mean a free car wash, an ice cream cone or a pass to leave early or come in late to work.
Connecting with the Community
Throughout the year, Catalyst Connection staff participates in various community-oriented events with the United Way and the American Cancer Society. Catalyst Connection also sponsors on-site blood drives for Pittsburgh’s Central Blood Bank.
