Pressure Chemical Co. (PCC) provides process development, piloting and custom manufacturing services to manufacturers who employ sophisticated materials in their products. PCC also offers a line of fine and specialized chemicals for research and semi-commercial applications. Established in 1964 with headquarters in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, the company also operates a second facility in Wilmington, North Carolina.
PCC, which relies on its Web site for market visibility, was unhappy with the site’s quality and costs. Approaching the problem pragmatically, the company first went through the process of choosing a new host. Satisfied with its selection, PCC then allowed Catalyst Connection to complete a comprehensive Web site assessment, including the site’s design and functionality, and recommend specific areas for enhancement.
Catalyst Connection analyzed the company’s Web site in eight critical categories, identifying areas for improvement. Working closely with PCC employees, Catalyst Connection helped PCC to clearly define goals and objectives for their Web presence, establish measures for success, and evaluate the site’s current effectiveness. Based on industry-specific benchmarks, we identified technical areas for improvement and addressed issues surrounding the site’s overall look, functionality, and search engine visibility. Catalyst Connection then made detailed recommendations for enhancing the site, enabling PCC to meet its objectives and opening avenues to attract more customers from previously untapped markets.
Using the blueprint developed by Catalyst Connection, PCC completed the planned enhancements to its site, improving its aesthetics, user friendliness, interactivity, salesmanship, ability to draw repeat visitors and overall visibility.
